Living In Wine Country - Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa is located at the northwestern gateway to the Sonoma and Napa Valleys of California’s acclaimed Wine Country.  It has a warm climate, rolling hills and much desired real estate.  The city is divided into four quadrants and the metro area is one of the origins of the farm-to-table movement. It was home to botanist, Luther Burbank and cartoonist, Charles Schultz for many years.

Local attractions include Sonoma County Museum, Railroad Square with its high concentration of historic commercial buildings, historic residential neighborhoods, Luther Burbank Home and Gardens and the Charles Schultz Museum.  Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy nearby Spring Lake Regional Park, Annadel State park and the Prince Memorial Greenway.  Also located in Santa Rosa at the northern end of Sonoma Valley is Oakmont, an adult community home to more than 4,500 residents who enjoy Oakmont’s 55 plus lifestyle.
